Artgal Zim Center, also known as Artgal Domboshava, is a contemporary art gallery, educational centre and cultural destination based in Domboshava, Zimbabwe.
The Center introduces visitors to original Zimbabwean paintings, mixed-media works and Shona stone sculpture while creating opportunities for artistic learning, cultural exchange and international collaboration. Surrounded by Domboshava’s distinctive granite landscape and important cultural heritage, the gallery offers a meaningful setting in which to experience Zimbabwean creativity close to the places, communities and traditions that inspire it.

Artgal Zim Center's Role
Artgal Zim Center exists to create meaningful opportunities for Zimbabwean artists while making contemporary art more accessible to local and international audiences.
We provide a professional platform where original paintings, mixed-media works and Shona stone sculptures can be created, exhibited, documented and understood within their cultural context. Through exhibitions, education, mentorship, residencies and international collaboration, the Center helps artists strengthen their careers while preserving the stories, traditions and values that shape Zimbabwean creativity.

Zimbabwean contemporary artist Keith Zenda serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Curator of Artgal Zim Center.
In this role, he guides the Center’s artistic and educational vision, develops exhibitions and works with participating artists to ensure that their work is presented professionally and with appropriate cultural context.
Keith Zenda is also the founder of Zendaism, his evolving artistic philosophy rooted in Zimbabwean heritage and universal human values. Zendaism explores identity, ancestry, spirituality, nature, family, resilience, dignity and the relationships connecting people across generations.
Through his paintings and curatorial work, Keith seeks to preserve Zimbabwean cultural knowledge while making it accessible to audiences throughout the world.

Zimbabwe is internationally recognised for its Shona stone sculpture tradition, and sculpture forms an important part of the Artgal Zim Center programme.
Original works are individually carved from natural Zimbabwean stones such as Springstone, Serpentine, Opal Stone and other locally available materials. The sculptures often explore spirituality, family, ancestry, transformation, nature and the relationship between humanity and the environment.
Visitors can experience these works within a Zimbabwean cultural setting while learning about the artists, materials, carving techniques and symbolism behind them.
