There's nothing better than seeing local celebrities support and collect art.
Here is Pokello, aka Queen of Swagger, posing in front of my African portrait paintings that are now part of her personal collection at her home.
Because of her, I've received so many calls from her friends saying: "We saw your beautiful African portraits at Pokello's place. I need one too."
Thank you Pokello for believing in my work and for supporting heritage art 🙏🏿

Our first **Art Camp of 2026** has officially begun at Artgal Zim Center in Domboshava.
We are delighted to welcome **10 talented artists** who have been invited to take part in this intensive **10-day working camp**, under the mentorship of Zimbabwean artist **Keith Zenda**.
The Art Camp has been created especially to support **underprivileged and emerging artists who may have talent, but lack the opportunities, materials, guidance or exposure needed to take the next step**. During the ten days, the artists will have the opportunity to work together, exchange ideas, develop their techniques and learn from an established professional artist.
Our aim is not only to help them create new work. We want to give each participant an opportunity to **show what they can do, build confidence in their own artistic voice and understand how their talent might one day become a small independent business and source of income**.
Ten days cannot change everything. But an opportunity, some encouragement and the chance to be seen can sometimes provide an important beginning.
We are very much looking forward to seeing what these 10 artists create during their time at Artgal Zim Center — and, perhaps even more importantly, where this opportunity may lead them afterwards.

Keith Zenda at Wise Owl School | Inspiring Young Artists
Following the students’ visit to the Artgal Zim Center in July, Keith Zenda was invited to Wise Owl School for a special presentation attended by school officials, invited guests, parents and the young artists themselves.
The artworks created during their visit had been beautifully framed and were proudly displayed for everyone to see.
In this short video, Keith expresses his gratitude for having had the opportunity to introduce these young students to art and to encourage their creativity. For Keith, the greatest reward is not simply what the children painted, but the enthusiasm, confidence and curiosity that the experience awakened in them.
A special moment showing how one encounter with art can perhaps inspire a lifelong passion.

Young Artists Find Their Voice | Wise Owl School & Artgal Zim Center
Sometimes the most powerful words come from the youngest voices.
After visiting the Artgal Zim Center in July, these Grade 3 and 4 students created their own artworks. Now beautifully framed and presented at Wise Owl School, the paintings became the centre of a very special gathering.
In this heartwarming video, the children stand proudly beside their work and speak about their paintings, their ideas and their experience of creating art.
Their confidence and excitement remind us why introducing children to art at an early age matters. It gives them more than the ability to paint — it gives them another way to express themselves, tell their stories and discover what they are capable of creating.
For Artgal Zim Center, moments like these are exactly what our work with young people is about.
